Josie and the venue manager we had for our wedding, Danielle, are fantastic. Josie is generous and so willing to help when needed, and Danielle did an amazing job making sure everything was running smoothly and everyone was taken care of during our wedding. The venue is stunning at all times of day and is a fantastic place to have a wedding for anyone that is interested in the barn/ country wedding feel.

Hosted our wedding at Rose Oaks and we absolutely LOVED the venue, the owner and the day manager were both absolutely phenomenal! Our wedding was beautiful, the decor offered to us to use was amazing. We couldn't have pictured a better day!

We had our wedding here on 3/26/22! Josie and the whole Rose Oak crew were absolutely wonderful from our first tour through our wedding day. I highly recommend this St. James gem to anyone looking for beautiful rustic charm with grade A help! Josie communicated with us wonderfully and her husband even helped us clean up after the reception was over. She has an on-site coordinator to help the day of with anything you, your party and your venders may need. My guests are still raving about this gorgeous place!

“Best venue in the area! Seriously, our day there was absolutely perfect and they went above and beyond to help make it so! The place: Separate places for groom and bride to get ready in, the bridal cabin was so well thought out and easy to use and perfect for pictures! Ceremony spots for every type of weather; sunny and beautiful, have it in the grassy area(that's where ours was!), windy or a little chilly, have it in there new lean-to off the side of the barn, its beautiful and rustic and has fantastic lighting, or if it's cold, have it in the barn itself, where it's so unique and set up so well for both ceremony's and receptions! The people: Josie(the owner) was so nice, and so helpful in the process! She had suggestions for everything, but never was pushy on any of it! When we looked at other venues, it was constant pushing to decide whether we wanted to use them and certain vendors, but Josie was fantastic about just answering questions and giving us time to figure out what we wanted and needed! They also provided a day-of coordinator, who was so sweet and truly just wanted to help make my day perfect! It ran so smooth and she helped with everything we needed and then some! Drawbacks: None! Seriously, it was great! Overall: I cannot recommend this place enough! My husband wanted to make a note of how great the air conditioning worked to, since he usually gets very sweaty very easily, but it was nice and cool in every part of the barn!”

“This review is late in coming with everything going on, but I want to give a huge “thank you” to Josie and the Rose Oak Acres team! My wedding was March 7th, 2020, and it turned out to be everything I imagined. I had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at the Rose Oak Acres venue, and the property was spectacular! Josie and her staff were excellent at working with the caterer and my bridal party from set-up to clean-up! The barn and Bridal Cottage were wonderful for pictures, and Josie has so many decorations to borrow and use! I can’t imagine things going any better.”

“We got married here May 4, 2019. The whole planning process went so smoothly because Josie was so easy to work with, very accommodating, and easy to get ahold of to address any questions or concerns I had. I loved watching the progress of their renovations online and in person at her open barn events. The barn is absolutely beautiful and especially unique. We knew the moment we stepped into the barn (even before the renovations) that this was where we wanted to get married. Josie and her husband have put in a lot time and effort to make it amazing! The woodwork is spectacular and the lighting is beautiful. The views are so pretty, especially at sunset. Our special day was absolutely perfect!”

“Rose Oak was perfect for what we wanted for our wedding. Rustic and romantic! Its about an hour and a half away from St. Louis so we had a ton of family traveling in. Rose Oak was super close to the hotels and made it very easy for our guests. Josie was awesome to work with and very laid back. It ended up raining on the wedding day and I got married under the deck which i wasnt sure if it was an option but Josie made it super easy for us. The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious all of our guests said they loved it and had a blast!!”

“My husband and I got married at Rose Oak Acres on August 8th 2020 and it was absolutely perfect for us! All of our guests really enjoyed the venue and had nothing but positive things to say about it. It is reasonably priced, the staff and owners are very helpful, and they have a closet of decorations to choose from! Which was a huge plus for me since I didn’t want to deal with getting much of my own decorations. I could go on and on about how much we loved this venue but I will just say that I’m very glad we had our wedding there and it couldn’t have been more perfect!”

“I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous venue and the owners, Brandon and Josie. From the first time we toured to the venue to our wedding day, Josie went above and beyond answering all our questions/requests and helping the whole process go as smoothly as possible for us. They are genuinely, kind-hearted people. The inside of the venue has SO much character and class. We loved the various types of wood and lighting! The openness and pastures outside the barn made for beautiful backdrops for our wedding party photos. The bridal suite and new grooms room are also a huge perk!
